^%$#% Scale…OK, it’s my fault!

I wasn’t surprised to see yet another gain on the scale this morning, since I slacked most of the week and didn’t pick it up again until Thursday. So I changed my weight tracker to 167…moving in the wrong direction again… *sigh*
Still, last week wasn’t a complete failure. I just waited too long to get my act back together. I expect a pretty decent loss at my next weigh-in, since some of the gain is likely water weight and simply too much food in my belly!
I debated not updating or posting my weight tracker, but then laughed to myself. Oh yeah! If I don’t post my weight gain, then nobody will notice! Ha. Like no one can tell by looking at me if I’ve gained a few pounds back. It just amused me how sometimes, with weight gain, we act like children, thinking if we sweep the evidence of our misdeeds under the rug, no one will know. Except the evidence, in the matter of weight, is pretty much out there for all to see, isn’t it?
I can blame a sore back or my new job or time constraints, but the simple fact is, whether I lose or gain is 100% my responsibility and 100% the result of my actions and choices. I need to wake up each day with the commitment to healthier choices and move toward my goal instead of pushing myself further away from it!

Sounds like you have it all under control. We all go off the wagon once in a while and we just have to get back on it. Buddyslimmers keep me in check and that really helps.
Thanks, Joy! I need to do a better job of checking in here, for support and accountability.
You did just like me–I waited til the middle of this week to really get going. Hey, we have to start somewhere right.
Ok, so it was a lb gain–now, what did you do right after you decided to get back on track this week??
Hi Deb! I actually did the right thing and tried a new workout DVD today. Definitely looking forward to a better week this week!
Well done for getting back on track!! You are so right about it being our own responsibility!!

just get back on track, you did this once and can do it again
Its in the past thankfully. The start of a new week is at hand, whatcha gonna do with it? Kick some tail this week my friend.
You can do it. I had a gain this week too, but not going to continue it. Great job on the workout!
