Great Morning!

My morning started around 6 AM, when I got up to go running.  I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel during this run, since I slacked off and haven’t been following my running schedule.  My running shoes and I had to shake hands and get reacquainted :)

I took it easy and kept to an easy pace, partly out of necessity and partly out of not quite knowing what to expect.  I recently downloaded new music for my mp3 player, so it was motivating to have new tunes to entertain me.

After 31 minutes, I called it quits and stretched before heading home for my weigh in.  I didn’t write down my weight last week, and I can’t remember exactly what it was, but I know for sure that I have dropped a few pounds.

Yessss!  Finally, the reward for all the sweat and the pain of breaking bad habits and starting to sculpt new ones.  It was very motivating to see a drop in the scale.

Gary said he can already tell I’ve lost weight.  I can feel a difference in my face, of all places.  When I wash my face, my cheeks don’t feel quite so full and chipmunk-y!  Other than that, I can’t tell a difference yet, but I know for damn sure that I will!

I got a new workout DVD from Netflix today and am excited to try it.  What a change from just weeks ago when the thought of working out led me to obsessive-compulsive excuse-making and desperately grasping reasons why I couldn’t!

I am just getting back into running. Walking, I am good at but full on running, I have to do a little at a time then walk some more. Congrats on your weight loss! :)

Running is definitely a workout to ease into, or else it’s very easy to injure yourself.

My new workout DVD was great! I love trying new workouts.

The DVD is Crunch Fitness Total Resculpt with Kendall Hogan. I wasn’t thrilled with the lower body section, but the upper body section was great!
