Successful Weekend, and Off to a Good Start
~Whew!~ I was so busy with the kids and my boyfriend this past weekend that I am just now checking in again. I stuck to my plans and made time to work out over the weekend but managed to still have a lot of fun. I feel like I’m getting the knack again for balancing my weight loss efforts with real life.
Last night we drove over an hour to drop the kids back off, and I fell asleep in the car on the way home. When I woke up, I felt so groggy and listless, and the last thing I wanted to do was work out! But I did anyway, 30 minutes of cardio and then some abs, before getting ready for bed and some much-needed snuggle time with Gary.
I feel strong this week: I’ve been keeping my food diary, and despite a hectic schedule, I’ve stuck to my workout schedule too. I’ve cut back on soda and have actually not felt a lot of cravings for it either.
I always feel extra motivated after spending time with the kids. Playing with them and just enjoying them helps me focus and prioritize being healthy and fit, and a good role model for them.
I can’t wait to be back at goal weight, but I am determined to learn as much as possible along the way, to enjoy the gradual and slow changes, and to make the journey well worth all the effort.

I am doing really good at keeping away from soda.
I am drinking unsweet tea, water, and hot tea instead.
