Time to Kick It Up a Notch

Looking over last week, I made progress in some areas and need to get to work on others.  I seem to have stopped spinning my wheels when it comes to workouts, and this morning I went for a walk, mixing in some jogging to get back to running.My biggest pitfalls are pretty significant: my eating habits and drinking too much soda.  Once I get these to fall back into place, I will be well on my way to goal weight again.

This week it is time to kick it up a notch.  My goals from now through Saturday’s weigh-in are:

1.  To work out every day, at least 30 minutes

2.  To make at least 3 of those workouts weight-training

3.  To keep a food diary and to plan my meals in advance

4.  To alternate days that I drink soda with days that I drink no soda at all, to start weaning myself off the stuff

That is enough to juggle for one week! 

I have reached a rock-bottom level where I am just truly sick of feeling this way, sick of knowing I can be and look a hell of a lot better, tired of not being the kick-butt warrior that I know I am :)  I know I can do a lot better.  Now it’s time to just do it.

    Good luck with this weeks goals.

    I can understand the soda thing. I have been addicted to the stuff for years and whenever I tried to cut it out before - I failed miserably. I was a complete bitch on the days I went without it.

    I have not felt ‘well’ in a long time. When I researched my symptoms I discovered Aspartame poisoning. After reading up on it finding all my symptoms were there - I knew I had to cut it out. That meant no more pop or anything with artificial sweetner. I thought it was going to be so hard as I was addicted to the stuff…but something clicked in my head that day. It’s only been about 5 days that I have gone without it, but already a lot of my symptoms have cleared up.

    It’ll be worth it! =o)
