I hate moving!!!!

There is nothing quite like moving to throw you completely off a routine and give you enough stress to make it very difficult to get back in gear! First, the living room at the old place was too crammed with boxes for me to work out there; then of course moving day got stretched into more than one day; now the living room is piled with boxes and random crap that isn’t put away yet, and I still can’t work out!
Grrrrrr. Have I mentioned that I hate moving?
My goal is to have a workout space cleared out, come hell or high water, no matter what, by tomorrow evening at the latest. I can’t stand all this time off from workouts. I can already tell my pants are getting tighter (fast food dinners because we can’t find the kitchen aren’t helping), and I refuse to reverse all the hard work I’ve put into the most recent 10 pounds I’ve lost.
Some good news though: the new place is close to the gym, so I have access to treadmills, elliptical trainers, and weight machines. :) I really don’t like cardio machines since my attention span is too short to chug away like a hamster, but this morning I did 30 minutes on the elliptical to start making up for the slacking of the past week. It will be nice to tack on an extra 20 minutes or so after working out at home, boost my cardio workouts, and play with the weight machines, though I strongly prefer hand weights to machines.
The silver lining to all of this is that I am relieved I feel so uncomfortable with missing workouts. Once upon a time, slacking for months wouldn’t have fazed me. I’d have just ended up buying bigger pants! Now I hate the feeling of inactivity, of eating a lot of crap, of not moving and sweating and building muscle and being strong.

I am sure you are working out with the moving! But I hear you, taking a week off from workouts and it is tough! I miss it!

I hate moving too. I have done it so many times. That was a really cute picture.
I am with you on the moving part. I have done waaay to much of it in the past 10 years. We bought our place 3 years ago and have no plans on going anywhere. Besides I have too much stuff to pack up nowdays!
Good news about the gym, I would love to have one close. You will be getting rid of those fast food pounds soon!!
Cool! It will be nice to have the gym nearby! Once you get settled things will slow down and you can get back on track. Hang in there!

I am moving this weekend. Now I am looking forward to it less than I was already.
